New Horizon Europe Work Programme on the ‘Missions’ published, with info days in January 2022
The European Commission has published a Horizon Europe Work Programme covering the new 'Missions'.
The Missions are a new instrument that should allow regions and other actors to compete for a longer-term funding relationship with Horizon Europe on certain key challenges:
- adaptation to climate change;
- cancer;
- climate-neutral and smart cities;
- oceans, seas and waters;
- soil health and food.
The Missions are in the process of being launched, and the new Work Programme represents the first major funding opportunity stemming from the Missions.
Scotland Europa gave a presentation on the Missions at the Horizon Stakeholder Meeting on 30 November, a copy of which is available on request. Scotland Europa is also currently working on a more detailed report on the Missions, which will be made available shortly.
In the meantime, you can link to the new Missions Work Programme here. Deadlines for the first set of calls in the Work Programme are mainly in April 2022.
The Commision has also announced some information days on the Missions on 18 and 19 January 2022. These events will take place online and prior registration is not required. Further details can be found here.
