UKRI Grant for Successful Horizon Europe Applications – Process Open

For those that have been successful in their application to Horizon Europe, but who are unable to sign the grant agreement because the UK's association has not yet competed, the system to apply from UKRI for the Horizon Europe grant, the Innovation Funding Service (IFS), has now opened and you can access

To complete your application on IFS you will need:

  • Part A of the proposal evaluated by the EC including budget table
  • The whole EC grant agreement signed by the beneficiaries that shows that you are still doing the tasks as indicated in the proposal
  • Any additional information on any changes to your organisation’s assigned tasks and budget during the grant agreement preparation process
  • A completed IFS currency/cost conversion tool (see below)

You can start your application at any time, even though you can’t complete it until you upload the signed grant agreement

It may take up to 90 days for your application to be approved although most will be quicker than this. You don’t have to wait for formal approval to start your project although this is at your own risk. You will be able to back-date claims to the project start date as long as you have submitted your application before the project start date.

The MS Excel currency/cost conversion tool for IFS; the T&Cs for the IFS Grant; and the updated Guarantee Guidance can all be seen here

The specific email address for help with the IFS system is and the phone number (0900-1700, Mon-Fri excluding Bank Holidays) is 0300 321 4357
